HST Bibliography
By MartyHere is a bibliography with pictures of Hunter S. Thompson’s main body of work in chronological order. As the market for Hunter’s books can be very fickle I will only include the PRICES THAT I PAID FOR THEM. All the books you see here are mine unless otherwise stated. The US editions are on the left and the UK are on the right of the page. These are all 1st editions, there was subsequent editions and prints which are not in this list.
All of my signed books came from people who knew or had connections to Hunter S. Thompson. If anyone feels there is something left out here, feel free to let me know.
The anthologies where Hunter’s work appears in are in the Scanlans+Anthologies page herehttp://hstbooks.wordpress.com/scanlans/ and additional information is in the Buying Guide page herehttp://hstbooks.wordpress.com/buying-guide/

The 3rd picture below is from http://www.lopezbooks.com/ as is this description. THOMPSON, Hunter S. and STEADMAN, Ralph. The Curse of Lono Memorial Package. A collection of items mostly assembled at Thompson’s 2005 Owl Farm/Woody Creek memorial blast-off. Includes The Curse of Lono [NY: Bantam (1983)], a book with text by Thompson and illustrations by Steadman, in which the pair are sent to cover the Honolulu marathon for Running magazine. This copy is signed by Steadman with a portrait of Thompson, dated 2006. Also includes an advance copy of The Curse of Lono, in the form of rivet-bound, photocopied 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheets, that is signed by Steadman and dated at the memorial, with the sentiment: “For the spirit that was in him and the beauty of his wisdom/ He fucked up my life!” Also signed by Kurt Vonnegut with a self-caricature and dated at the memorial. Together with a signed print by Steadman of Thompson; two printed napkins and a Gonzo fist & dagger sticker from the memorial; a March 5th memorial invitation (in Aspen); and an August 20th memorial invitation with a quote by Thompson about Woody Creek. All items fine and ingeniously housed in an intricate Curse of Lono-themed clamshell box. A touching tribute and perhaps the ultimate Thompson collectible.

Taschen Curse of Lono 2007 reprint, this is identical to the 2005 reprint. Since the 2005 reprint is harder to get the best way to tell them apart is the ISBN numbers, so to keep it simple… The 2005 reprint ISBN number ends with the number 9, and the 2007 reprint ISBN ends with the number 5.
